Summary:

November 27, 2006
The Whitestown Council appointed two new members to represent the growing community of Whitestown, In.
We are pleased to welcome Jason Tribby and Susan Austin to the Whitestown Town Council.
Both have been attending regular meetings over the last year or more and have proven their commitment to improving the community.

Body:

Jason Tribby, our new Walker Farms Town Council board member, comes to Whitestown from Lafayette, In. He has a Bachelors Degree of Science from Purdue University in Computer Technology. Jason and his family have lived in Whitestown for the past 3 years and were one of the first Walker Farm's residents. Jason started to attend the Whitestown's town council meets on a regular basis after an agriculture easement dispute earlier this year. I believe Jason has been providing valuable questions and recommendations to the council. He demonstrates his software developers background, very precise and detailed, in the way he forms and follows up with his questions. Furthermore, it is my belief he does not form opinions without gathering as much information as possible. Recently, Jason and his wife, Toni, along with their children provided much needed labor and support to the recent Panther Park clean up effort. Toni is also is an acting member of the Whitestown Parks Board

Susan Austin has lived in Whitestown for over fifteen years. She has previously served as the Whitestown Court Clerk and currently is the Whitestown Parks and Recreation Board president. An active attendee of town meetings and county APC meetings she is well versed with the issues at hand. She brings a breadth, depth of business experience and knowledge to the council position, including: strategic planning, process improvement, business development, marketing, financial management/accounting, contract negotiations and supervision. She is a graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette.

Editorial note: She is the Mary Matalin equivalent to LJ's James Carvell.
